“The Environment and Nuclear War: Making The Link - What Madison Can Do To Save Our Planet”
On October 18, 2018, at the H.F. Deluca Forum in the Discovery Building on University of Wisconsin – Madison’s campus. Dr. Bob Dodge, president of PSR- Los Angeles, gave a presentation on “The Environment and Nuclear War: Making The Link - What Madison Can Do To Save Our Planet”.
He spoke on the link of climate disaster and world famine resulting from nuclear war. He also illustrated the effects of nuclear war on a US city and the lack of ability for health care professionals to respond to such a disaster. To give hope, Dr. Dodge told the audience about the “Back from the Brink” campaign and the call for cities, states, and the federal government to take steps toward nuclear disarmament and divestment.
Taking Action with Your Dollars
On October 20, 2018, a panel discussion was held to discuss whys to take action with your dollars. Beth Norman, a certified financial planner at RBC Wealth Management, Vicki Elson, and Dr. Bob Dodge spoke on the topic of socially responsible investment. The call is ask the City of Madison to divest from companies that are involved with nuclear weapons and for us individually to make our own changes in our investments.

Preventing the Last Epidemic: Our Role as Physicians
On October 18, 2018, Dr. Bob Dodge presented "Preventing the Last Epidemic: Our Role as Physicians" as a part of a Family Medicine Resident Seminar. Residents heard Dr. Dodge speak about the impact of nuclear weapons, how they can get involved, and the “Back from the Brink” resolution.
